Commonwealth Games 2010 -Venues

Delhi is going to host nineteenth Commonwealth Games in 2010. It will be held in between 3rd October and 14 October 2010. It will be perhaps the largest multi-sport event in Delhi till date. Government is burning candles at both the end to make city prepared for the game. Perhaps, the buzz is right that Delhi government and the game community have started late for the preparation. The game is at the door but lots many things are still to be completed. Whatsoever is the situation, it is final that the Games will be held and guests will come to enjoy the game show. So, let us know about the Commonwealth Game Venues.

Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Lodhi road: It is the third largest stadium of India. The opening and closing ceremony is scheduled to take place at this stadium. (4 October to 13 October, 2010)

Dhyan Chand National Stadium, Patiala House, near India Gate: Hockey is scheduled to be played in this stadium. (4 October to 13 October, 2010)

Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, IP Estate: For Archery, Cycling, Gymnastics and Wrestling. (4 October to 13 October, 2010)

Delhi University Sports Complex: For Rugby 7s. (5 October to 6 October, 2010)

Thyagaraj Stadium, INA colony: For Netball competition. (4 October to 13 October, 2010)

Siri Fort Sports Complex, August Kranti Marg: For Badminton and Squash. (4 October to 13 October, 2010)

Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range, Surajkund Road, Tughlaqabad: For Shooting. (5 October to 13 October, 2010)

Talkatora Stadium, Willingdon Crescent Road: For Boxing (4 October to 11 October, 2010)

Dr. S.P. Mukherjee Swimming Pool Stadium, Games Village, Tahirpur, near GTB Hospital: For Aquatics. It will include Butterfly Stroke, Breast Stroke, Free Style Diving and Back Stroke. (4 October to 13 October, 2010)

RK Khanna Tennis Stadium, Safdurjung Enclave, Africa Avenue: For Tennis. (4 October to 13 October, 2010)

Yamuna Sports Complex, Near Akshardham: For Table Tennis. (4 October to 13 October, 2010)
